Paving The Way To Justice

Compassionate, Aggressive Legal Representation

With Casey Stamm, you can expect a fearless defense attorney intensely devoted to advocating on behalf of her clients. I have an incredibly strong background in criminal trial and appellate practice, and I have been recognized repeatedly for my acumen in these areas. Likewise, I have successfully defended lawyers and judges accused of misconduct for over 20 years.

Dedicated To Helping Those Who Need It Most

I was born in the Pacific Northwest and lived all of my life here. I also attended both undergraduate and law school at the University of Washington. I began my legal career with stints at both the Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Washington and the King County Defender Association. Over the years, I have worked closely with the legal community’s most highly regarded, skilled and experienced defense attorneys. With them and standing alone, I have honed my skills, handling numerous complex, serious and high-profile cases in a highly aggressive, careful and attentive manner. I continue to focus my practice on highly complex and serious matters with an emphasis on criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings as well as judicial and attorney discipline. I have handled all manner of criminal cases in local, juvenile, state and federal courts. Highlights of my practice in these areas include:

  • Securing appellate victories in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals
  • Collaboratively forcing the release of an innocent man convicted in one of the now-infamous Wenatchee sex-ring prosecutions
  • Obtaining not guilty verdicts in numerous misdemeanor cases of all kinds as well as felony cases alleging serious violent and sex offenses
  • Three times collaboratively winning life sentences for clients previously sentenced to death

I have been named to the Rising Stars and Super Lawyers lists by vote of my peers in Washington Law & Politics magazine, recognized by the Washington Supreme Court’s Capital Counsel Panel as qualified to handle death penalty cases, and rated Superb (10.0 out of 10.0) on Avvo. I am frequently invited to speak at continuing legal education seminars and often teach aspects of trial advocacy to my colleagues. I have also published several articles regarding Washington’s sex offense laws as well as constitutional law. I have also taught Advanced Criminal Procedure at Seattle University School of Law.
